Makers mark MB and hallmark C.18 (for 18 Carat). Brand new piece handmade in Malta (by M Borg). Malta was a British protectorate from 1800 to 1813 and a colony from 1813 to 1964. The coat of arms used in Malta were the arms of Great Britain.
