Description 18ct Gold filigree Maltese Cross pendant brooch. Size: 3cm plus 5mm bail. I purchased this mint piece in Canada. Hallmark: British crown, C (carat) and letter S (year 1953). This beautiful piece was handmade in Malta or England. The sequence of marks on a piece is arbitrary. The mark of the British Crown plus Karat spelt with a C in Britain, was used from 1798 until 1975. Vintage at 63 years of age, it is still in perfect condition.
