Mary’s sorrows, so intense that the prophet Simeon said they would be as a sword piercing her heart, as well as her dedication to purity. And Joseph’s dedication purity even though in the eyes of men he was married to Mary, he perpetually chose to stay chaste out of love for her. Sacrifice, compassion (suffering with), and purity bound together through these three hearts. It really has been bringing prayer into more of my day.
